Valentino Rossi wants to continue his good form this weekend, at the MotoGP race for the Portuguese Grand Prix, from his hometown of Misano, where he was again in the top ten for the first time in four races.
The nine-time world champion is aware that he has a difficult task ahead of him to reach the goal, as the Algarve track in Portimao is not the best for him. The 42-year-old Italian has recorded one twelfth place and one resignation in the last two races here.
“The track in Portimao is difficult and has some special features that other tracks don’t have,” Rossi said before the race. “The first of this year's two races here was not bad, as I was able to break through among the top ten, but unfortunately I fell before the finish line. This weekend I want to drive a good race and get to the forefront. I already had a good feeling here, especially in the race, so I hope to be competitive this time and to be able to repeat the achievement of the previous race in Misano. ”
