Abu Dhabi F1: Hamilton fastest ahead of Russel in 1st practice

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were the fastest in the first F1 practice before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where as many as seven young racers were on the track. Among them, Liam Lawson shone the brightest, taking over from Max Verstappen's car and setting a fifth time that was just 0.234 seconds slower than Sergio Perez's time in Red Bull's other RB18 car.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc achieved the third practice time, and in the top ten, we saw another young driver in seventh place in a Ferrari. Robert Schwartzman replaced Carlos Sainz and was 0.796 seconds slower than Hamilton's time. Sebastian Vettel was sixth, Daniel Ricciardo eighth, Valtteri Bottas ninth and Alex Albon tenth.
