With the victory in Division 2, Rok Turk and Martina Lazar opened the season of the Slovenian national championship, which began last weekend with the Velenje rally. They drove 151 kilometers of speed trials with a Peugeot 208 R2, which they are preparing together with the OPV Racing Cars team, at a high pace, and in addition to winning in their division, they were also looking forward to 3rd place in the overall national championship standings.
At the finish line of the Velenje rally, after two days of racing, Rok summed up his impressions: “Martina and I squeezed the maximum out of the race car and considering the rather fast and open speed tests, this is more than a great result. Above all, it was a pleasure to race in front of a large number of spectators, who encouraged us along the track, and the new design of the car also received a lot of positive feedback. It is definitely a great start for us in the new season of the national championship! ”
