The 7th Vipava Valley Rally started on Friday night with a super special in the center of Ajdovščina in front of a large number of spectators and in a great atmosphere. The opening rally of the new season of the national championship was started the fastest by Rok Turk, who set the fastest time with co-driver Blanka Kacin and Peugeot 208 T16. The main part of the crew rally awaits on Saturday, when 8 speed trials will be scheduled, including the famous speed trials Predmeja and Žablje.

For this Peugeot 208 T16 R5 class car, the night superspecial was also a christening speed test, as it is a completely newly assembled car of the OPV Racing Cars team and at the same time the first R5 class car assembled in Slovenia. “The whole team has been working hard for the last few months to bring a top-class car of the strongest class to the national championship. That is why I am all the more pleased that we managed to break the ice on the first speed test with a great time. Of course, we still have 90 kilometers of speed trials to reach the finish line and we will have to do our best! ” Rok is in a good mood before the continuation of the Vipava Valley rally on Saturday.
