Klemen Gerčar, a 24-year-old motocross rider from Lukovica and a good acquaintance of the world motocross scene, has made a big step forward for the 2015 season.

He will enter the new season with many novelties, including his new team 62 Motosport, he started working with motocross legend Harry Everts, a four-time world champion, and above all he will be riding a new husqvarna motorcycle this year.

Thus, Klemen founded his own team called 62 Motosport, with which he will compete this year in the MXGP class, which is the pinnacle of motocross racing, as well as in races in Germany, of course in Slovenia and some other races. “We have amassed a total of 28 races so far this season. I will miss the MXGP races, which are scheduled outside Europe, because they represent a huge financial burden, "said Klemen Gerčar at the presentation of the plans.

The season will start for him on March 29 in Brežice, where the European Championship race will take place, and the first race in the MXGP will be on April 17 in Italy.
On working with Harry Everts, Klemen said that working with him is a great encouragement and a great help, as he trains under his guidance and advises him in various fields. Not only in the ride itself, it also helps him with various other things, from how the racer should behave to what he should pay attention to on the track. Harry Everts is the father of Stefan Everts, a 10-time world champion, through whom Klemen can train with the best motocross riders, with training under the leadership of Everts, Klemen learned something else: last year he wanted to do his best in the first season in MXGP , occasionally tried too hard. “Harry told me, and I saw it myself then, that I was overtrained last year. That I wanted too much of myself, and I ran out of energy for just driving. I've changed that now and I see that with less and more proper training on a motorcycle, I can feel better and make fewer mistakes. " Gercar 2015_4_photo Peter Vasle mxdose
In addition to Everts and his own team, the biggest novelty this year is the motorcycle, which switched to the Husqvarna brand, while receiving huge support from the parent factory, which sees even greater potential in the newly formed team. Over time, Klemen intends to focus on the team as a kind of talent incubator, with the help of Husqvarna of course.

“Maybe in the first races all these changes will not be immediately visible on the track itself or in the results. A lot of things are really new, now I'm in a slightly different role, because I have to take care, with the help of colleagues, of course, he won't be able to do it anyway, on logistics, technical preparation and the team as a whole. All this gives me new strength, I am motivated like I haven't been for a long time, I work 24 hours a day for motocross, because I also enjoy it. We will grow slowly, step by step, "Klemen added.
