Williams racers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas are confident that the configuration of the Spa Francorchamps track fits their FW36 race car. The team from Grove surprised us with good form this year, as Massa won the best starting position in Austria, and Bottas was ranked among the top three three times.

The track in Spa is very fast, so both racers think that they can achieve good results here.

“The change in track height and fast corners give a very special charm to driving on this track, especially in a Formula One car,” Bottas said. “Long planes and unpredictable weather can spice up the race for both the racer and the spectators. Spa needs a car with efficient aerodynamics, so we expect to be especially strong here and we expect a good result. ”

Massa, who won here in 2008, agrees with his teammate. “Long planes should suit us and so maybe we can start the second half of the season with success. I won here in 2008, so I know what it takes to win. After a pleasant summer break, I am ready to continue racing. There are some good tracks waiting for us on the calendar that we can look forward to, so I hope that we will be able to continue developing the car as we did in the first half of the season and that we will stay close to the top. ”
