The German Sebastian Vettel will drive a hundred-year-old car onto the track this weekend, as part of the Formula 1 race for the French Grand Prix.

It is a TT1 racing car, the first with which Aston Martin entered the Grand Prix race in Strasbourg at the French Grand Prix in 1922.

"I am fascinated by the history of sports, so driving an original Aston Martin racing car is a truly special experience," said the four-time world champion.

Vettel is also looking forward to competing with a modern racing car at the Paul Ricard circuit. “The fast corners of the circuit will give these modern racers a new dimension, while the slower corners will be a great challenge for everyone. So far the race weekends have not been kind to us, so it would be nice to get back on track before the summer break.”

Lance Stroll also hopes that they will be able to turn their luck in their favor on the race weekend, when Aston Martin celebrates the centenary of its first race appearance. "This is a special race for Aston Martin to celebrate its centenary. I hope we will achieve a good result," added the Canadian.
