After a difficult start to his first season as a Honda rider, Joan Mir says he is worried about becoming the next rider who failed to achieve high-profile results on a Honda bike and will have to leave the Japanese manufacturer's camp, as happened with Jorge Lorenzo and Polo Espargaro.

"I have to be very attentive to the little things, because with this motorcycle you are always on the edge of a blade," said the Spaniard, who recorded his fourth retirement due to a fall in Le Mans. "More than physically, the bike destroys you mentally, because you have to be very, very precise all the time and fight with the front wheel all the time. It's different from what I've been used to and the bike is completely different to the bikes I've ridden before.”

The 2020 MotoGP champion admitted he was scared. "Of course. I would like to win and for a racer like me it is difficult to be where I am. I want to win, be on the podium and stay at the front. These results keep me going, but I haven't had them in a while, so I need them. Last year I was a second faster here (in Le Mans) per lap.”
