The umbrella organization of the MotoGP championship, FIM has announced that it will not publicly announce telemetry, which, according to Honda proves itthat Valentino Rossi kicked Marco Marquez’s brake lever in Sepang, causing the Spaniard to fall. They decided to do this together with the promoters of the Dorno series, mainly so as not to encourage further controversy.

“Controversy over the Rossi-Marquez incident has grown to previously unseen limits,” FIM President Vito Ippolito explained the decision not to release the data. “That’s why we asked everyone involved, including the teams, not to encourage new controversies about the events in Sepang. At the race in Valencia, Honda informed us that they have evidence in the form of telemetry data. They handed them over to us, and now we have decided together not to make them public, as this would only rekindle controversy. ”
