Jorge Lorenzo is the most successful racer on the track in Silverstone among the current racers with three victories, but this year's performance of the race was a real nightmare for him. The rain washed away valuable preparation time, so the current race champion took a risk with untested settings and paid dearly for the price when the changes didn’t work out.
“It’s a tough weekend behind us as we haven’t been able to find settings to be satisfied with,” Lorenzo said. “We used settings in the race that we could not test on the warm-ups and they did not work. Another group of racers was driving right in front of me, but I couldn’t catch them. Then I felt vibrations, which forced me to reduce the gas and slow down a bit. ”
