The mountain-speed race to Gorjanci took place in beautiful sunny weather. A good number of spectators gathered along the track. The event passed without serious accidents, only in the first run there were three long interruptions, after sports officials had to clean the oil from the road and repair the chicane along the track. The winner was the Czech Vaclav Janik (Lola B02 / 50), who repeated the success from 2012 and thus celebrated for the second time at GHD Gorjanci. Janik also had the fastest time in all three runs and thus won sovereignly over his compatriot Jiri Svoboda (Norma M20F), and Hungarian Laszlo Szasz (Reynard Zytek), who otherwise competes under the Croatian flag, finished in third place. Before the start of today's race, Janik left the role of the favorite to Svoboda, as he had problems with electronics at yesterday's trainings, which his team obviously managed to eliminate.

The best Slovenian Vladimir Stankovič (Radical SR8 LM) finished the race in 5th place and celebrated in the Slovenian Cup Championship. Before the last run, he changed the tires, with a harder version he tried to get closer to the leaders. However, the gap before the last run was too big for 4th place so that in the end he kept the position he already had after the first run. He had no competition in the Slovenian championship, as he was the only local to drive a prototype. In the Slovenian national championship, Peter Marc (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX) won in the general classification before Davor Ivič (Nissan 240SX S14) and Matej Grudnik (Renault Twingo RS). The winner of the opening race in Verzegnis, Matevž Boh, resigned.

In the FIA classification, the European Mountain Championship of vintage vehicles was celebrated by the Italian Uberto Bonucci (Osella PA 9/90) before the Czech Jiri Kubick (Škoda 130 RS) and the Austrian Harald Moessler (Steyr Puch Bergspyder). GHD Gorjanci served with a strong and numerous cast. The racers showed a lot of daring rides and also impressed the FIA observers, who assessed whether GHD Gorjanci is capable of organizing a race of the highest rank in the future, the European Championship in mountain speed racing.
