"The most beautiful road race in the world" - this was Mille Miglia for Enzo Ferrari. Of course, times and things are changing, so this famous inertia race - last run in 1957 - is now only a memory race.

Following the extraordinary success of previous editions, the Ferrari commemorative event will be held for the fourth time this May.

The event will be an authentic race, held a few minutes before the famous Mille Miglia passages, and will feature 130 Ferraris built from 1958 onwards. Cars made before 1957 are allowed to take part in the actual Mille Miglia, where they only allow cars like those that took part in it until the last race in 1957. The aforementioned 130 Ferraris will open the way for historic cars participating in the famous Mille Miglia. The race starts on Thursday, May 16, 2013, in Desenzan, and on the first day the route continues in the direction of Verona, Padua and Ravenna.

On Friday, participants will drive to San Marino, cross Umbria and reach Rome.

The Italian capital will welcome both the Ferrari Memorial Parade and the participants of the Mille Miglia with a special program at Sant'Angelo Castle. On Saturday, the third and final day, cars will drive along the exciting roads of the original Mille Miglia: on Via Cassia to Siena, with a checkpoint in the famous Palio square, to Florence on Piazza della Signora, and then via the Futa and Raticosa passes. For a special test, the cars will arrive at the track in Fioran in the afternoon, and even earlier they will stop at the Ferrari factory. Later they will drive towards Brescia, where there will also be a special final program.
