Enea Bastianini will become a Ducati factory rider in the 2023 season and will be the new teammate of Francesco Bagnaia. The Italian, the winner of races in Qatar, Austin and Le Mans, signed a two-year contract with Ducati, and in the race for the factory seat, which will be vacated by Jack Miller at the end of the season, he fought with Jorge Martin, who this year also did not convince due to injuries of the leading men of the manufacturer from Bologna.

"I am excited to be able to wear the colors of the factory Ducati team at the start of next year," said Bastianini. "It was my dream that has now come true."

Bastianini is riding only his second season in the MotoGP class this year, and in the Gresini team his place will be filled by the Spaniard, Alex Marquez, who is leaving the LCR Honda team.
