Fernando Alonso celebrated his fourth podium finish in five races at the F1 Miami Grand Prix, and the Aston Martin driver is now looking to step closer to victory.

The Spaniard was third four times this year, only in Baku he missed the podium with fourth place, but now he wants to get closer to the top with the team from Silverstone. "At the beginning of the year, the podiums were incredible," said the 41-year-old Alonso. "After four podiums, we want more, at least second place. But Red Bull's racing cars are unbeatable and super fast. But we might have a chance in Monaco or Spain.”

Alonso drove a lonely race in Miami, well behind the Red Bulls and a safe seven seconds ahead of Mercedes driver George Russell, and he also captured footage of his team-mate Lance Stroll's overtaking during the race itself. "The race was lonely. We expected more resistance from the rivals, but the Ferraris were slower today than we expected. It's never easy, but I was pretty lonely in the race today. After the podium here, we are now looking forward to a trio of back-to-back races in Imola, Monaco and Barcelona.”
