The Gresini team has confirmed the extension of the collaboration with Alex Marquez for another season. The Spaniard, who joined the team before the start of this season, will be their member until at least the end of 2024.
At the same time, the team announced the extension of the collaboration with Ducati for another two years, ending speculation that they would use Yamaha or KTM motorcycles in the future.
Announcing the news, Alex, who won the sprint race at Silverstone last Saturday, said:
"I am very happy to be a part of this team next season as well. We still have a lot of room for improvement, so I'm already looking forward to next season. I would like to thank everyone in the team, but especially Nadia, because they welcomed me very nicely on the first day."
"Alex is an exceptional person and racer. The results this year speak for themselves, so the decision to extend the cooperation was very easy. In the future, we want to go one step further. Alex has already proven this year that he can fight with the best. At the same time, I would also like to thank Ducati for extending our cooperation for the next two seasons. We already proved last year that this cooperation is the right combination. This year, we're just continuing that," said team leader Nadia Padovani.
